On 23 October, SoulFried and Mo Hippa Section join forces for a double concert bringing together jazz-funk and the unmistakable groove of New Orleans to Drop Inn.

SoulFried – One Funky Experience!
SoulFried was formed in 2020 and consists of 7 hard-hitting, soul-cleansing funksters. Drawing inspiration from James Brown, Snarky Puppy, Fearless Flyers, The Meters, and Maceo Parker, SoulFried is a jazz/funkk band delivering a sizzling set of original funk, soul, jazz, latin, rock, and hip-hop inspired grooves.
SoulFried takes you on an exciting listening journey with surprising beats that satisfy your musical appetite and get your funk-loving, soulful heart pumping.
In 2024, the band released their debut album, “Chonk Lé Fonk”
The band’s eagerly awaited second album, “Pocket Science” was released in the autumn of 2025.

Founded with the ambition of being one of the grooviest funk experiences on the live scene, Mo Hippa Section is rooted in the authentic New Orleans sound and soul. Inspired by acts such as Jon Cleary and The Absolute Monster Gentleman, Galactic, D’Angelo, The Meters and Lettuce, Mo Hippa Section aims to honor the very best artists within the genre, while still maintaining a distinct sound and musical expression.
The band is all about the live experience – creating that special synergy between musician and listener! Come on out and get your funk on!
