Blending shimmering disco grooves, warm analog synths and soulful vocals, LUNA SOUL creates a sound that fuses the elegance of the 70s and 80s with contemporary indie and disco pop. Shaped by their roots between Barcelona and Northern Germany, the band inhabits a world somewhere between urban nightlife, dancefloor euphoria and cinematic nostalgia.
Since their formation, LUNA SOUL has grown into an internationally active live act, performing more than 50 concerts annually across Germany, Spain, France, the Netherlands and Denmark. With their debut album First Move (2025, Légère Recordings), as well as airplay and features on broadcasters including Deutschlandfunk Kultur, Radio Eins, NDR and Bayern 2, the band has steadily built a reputation within the European indie, soul and retro-pop scene.
Live, LUNA SOUL performs as a five- to six-piece band, delivering an energetic show that moves effortlessly between disco, indie pop, yacht rock and atmospheric slow-burners. Danceable basslines meet dreamy synth textures, soulful harmonies and a stage aesthetic that feels somewhere between neon lights, summer nights and a midnight movie.
With their second studio album Second Nature, due for release in autumn 2026, LUNA SOUL opens a new chapter: more mature, more emotional and more confident in its artistic identity. To support the release, the band will embark on their international SECOND NATURE TOUR throughout autumn and winter 2026/27.
LUNA SOUL is a German-Spanish retro-pop band founded in 2019 by singer Lisa Michèle Lietz from Schwerin, Germany, and guitarist, songwriter and producer Jordi Arnau Rubio from Barcelona, Spain. Together, they blend warm disco grooves with contemporary pop influences, creating a distinctive sound that balances nostalgia and modernity.
At the heart of LUNA SOUL are Lisa and Jordi, who write and arrange their music together. In April 2025, the band released their debut album First Move through Légère Recordings, the internationally renowned independent label from Hamburg whose roster includes artists such as Young Gun Silver Fox, Joel Sarakula, Myles Sanko and Mamas Gun. Following numerous club and festival performances across Germany and Europe, LUNA SOUL is currently working on their second studio album, Second Nature, scheduled for release in autumn 2026.
Live, LUNA SOUL most often performs as an international four-piece band featuring musicians from Germany and Spain. For selected shows, the line-up expands with keyboards and percussion, growing into a six-piece ensemble with musicians from Germany, Spain and Colombia. This cultural diversity is reflected in the band’s music, where disco, soul, funk and pop merge into a modern sound that combines danceable grooves, emotional songwriting and an international perspective.
