TUXEN LOCKJAW spiller swingmusik med autenticitet som det lød i 40´erne, hvor der blev festet og danset vildt og voldsomt.
Bandet består af nogle af Danmarks dygtige stjerner indenfor genren Jump Blues i stilen “Texas tenors” hvor saxofonerne kæmper med og mod hinanden ligesom datidens idoler som Illionis Jaquet, Eddie Lockjaw og Arnett Cobb.
Der garanteres en hårdt swingende og underholdende aften for både siddende og dansende publikum.
Bandet spiller i både københavnske danseklubber og spillesteder og ledes af frontmand Mads Tuxen, som underholder publikum med jokes og dans på scenen, som det bl.a. sås hos Cab Calloway og Louis Jordan!

“TUXEN LOCKJAW” will be swinging hard at them good old bluesy dance tunes from around the 1940’s.
The band focuses mainly on blueses and rhythm changes with the original sound from the playstyle within JumpBlues as a mix of swing era influence and pre R&B approach.
Dancers will experince a revival of the authentic honking saxophone “battles” in tunes like “Flying´ Home”, “Lester Leaps” and “C-Jam” with players associated like Eddie Lockjaw Davis, Illinois Jacquet, Lester Young, Arnett Cobb and Earl Bostic.

The band consists of 6 young dedicated musicians who recently found the joy in this particulary dancefriendly playstyle.
Members of the band do all live in copenhagen and frequently play all around town in other projects aswell
