Johanna Pettersson is Sweden’s latest rising star. An energetic and colourful jazz vocalist with an extra passion for jazz legends with attitude and sincerity, like Abbey Lincon, Carmen McRae and Sonny Rollins. With her totally unfrightened approach, she takes on the jazz tradition in a unique way. The combination of captivating swing, modern improvisation and heartfelt storytelling, is together with the dynamic and responsive musicians, a musical hit!

On the 15th of October, Pettersson’s debute album ”The Show Must Go On” will finally be released under Swedish record label Naxos/Prophone. Here you can hear her powerful voice dressed in explosive arrangements written by the vocalist herself, and the band pianist, Filip Ekestubbe. During this release concert we will also hear Swedish trumpet player Björn Ingelstam, Anders Fjeldsted on the base and Zoltan Csörsz Jr. on the drums. Welcome!
