En overflødighedshornsektion der hylder og fremhæver instrumenter, undergenrer og tidens trends i Jazz-Danmark.

BAUN
Opløftende musik fra dansk jazz & soul artist

Den danske jazz- og soulartist Søren Baun – også kendt som BAUN, udgav sit seneste album ”Beginnings” i
2024. På dette kombinerer han jazz, soul, R&B og funk og leverer en opløftende blanding af iørefaldende sange, livsbekræftende tekster og beat-drevne produktioner. Med albummet rækker Søren Baun ud til dem, der hungrer efter varm, håndspillet og nærværende musik i en digital tidsalder.

BAUN har samlet en ny super sekstet, som matcher den store lyd og udadvendte energi på albummet.
Bandet består af nogle af landets ypperste musikere og inkluderer blæsergruppe for extra funk og farve.

Med sin enestående soulfulde stemme og funky tangenter formår Søren Baun med sit band at skabe
bevægelse i krop og sind, så du vil stå opløftet og med et smil på læben efter sidste tone.

Vokset op i et hjem, hvor klavermusik og sang fyldte stuen, blev Søren Baun inspireret af alt fra Beatles’ ikoniske lyd og Earth, Wind & Fire’s musikalske kærlighed til Herbie Hancock og jazzens uendelige muligheder. Han er svær at putte i en kasse, og har optrådt på scener i New York, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco og Madrid.

Med anmelderroser i Danmark og udland, airplay på P5, P3 og P8 Jazz, en placering på Amazons hitliste i selskab med Gregory Porter og José James og koncert på bl.a. Cairo Jazzfestival er Søren Bauns musik på vej opad – også internationalt.

Søren Baun er også kendt som bandleder i ‘Acoustic Lounge’, der med sine moderne jazzfortolkninger af tidløse klassikere af bl.a. Antonio Carlos Jobim, Sting og Pharell Williams, har rundet 3 millioner streams på Spotify. Derudover har han udgivet musik med Baun On Beatles, arbejdet som sanger og topliner for duoen Subnesia under Kenneth Bager, arrangerede og turnerede i et årti med vokaljazzensemblet Touché og arbejdet sammen med nogle af de fineste navne i dansk jazz, herunder Mathias Heise, Thomas Fonnesbæk og Jakob Dinesen for at nævne nogle få.

Uplifting music from Danish jazz & soul artist

Danish jazz and soul artist Søren Baun – also known as BAUN, released his latest album “Beginnings” in
2024. On this, he combines jazz, soul, R&B and funk and delivers an uplifting mix of catchy songs, life-affirming lyrics and beat-driven productions. With the album, Søren Baun reaches out to those who hunger for warm, hand-played and present music in a digital age.

BAUN has assembled a new super sextet that matches the big sound and outgoing energy on the album.
The band consists of some of the country’s top musicians and includes a brass band for extra funk and color.

With his unique soulful voice and funky keyboards, Søren Baun and his band manage to create
movement in body and mind, so that you will be uplifted and with a smile on your face after the last note.

Growing up in a home where piano music and singing filled the living room, Søren Baun was inspired by everything from the Beatles’ iconic sound and Earth, Wind & Fire’s musical love to Herbie Hancock and the endless possibilities of jazz. He is difficult to put in a box, and has performed on stages in New York, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco and Madrid.

With critical acclaim in Denmark and abroad, airplay on P5, P3 and P8 Jazz, a placement on Amazon’s hit list in the company of Gregory Porter and José James and concerts at, among others, Cairo Jazz Festival, Søren Baun’s music is on the rise – also internationally.

Søren Baun is also known as the bandleader of ‘Acoustic Lounge’, which with its modern jazz interpretations of timeless classics by, among others, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Sting and Pharell Williams, has reached 3 million streams on Spotify. In addition, he has released music with Baun On Beatles, worked as a singer and topliner for the duo Subnesia under Kenneth Bager, arranged and toured for a decade with the vocal jazz ensemble Touché and worked with some of the finest names in Danish jazz, including Mathias Heise, Thomas Fonnesbæk and Jakob Dinesen to name a few.
