DESCRIPTION:Pehuenche is the musical project of Mexican singer Rafael Mesa\, whose work explores a personal journey of healing —a liberating process that evokes nostalgia and melancholy\, ultimately serving as both a reflection of his humanity and a mirror for his listeners.\nPehuenche’s live performance immerses the audience in a mysterious energy\, transporting them to an intimate and delicate space. \nHis shows unfold like a ritual of catharsis\, provoking an internal dialogue that moves through fantasies\, fears\, and joys offering a lumi-\nnous and awakening experience for those who listen.\nWith over a decade in the music industry\, Pehuenche’s arrangements highlight the uniqueness of his androgynous voice a distinctive quality that draws listeners into an unexplored emotional space\, inspiring deep personal introspection.\nListening to Pehuenche is an experience that can transport you to a place both uncommon and familiar one that feels honest\, tender\, and profoundly human. \nPehuenche has performed at national and international festivals including SXSW (2021-2024)\, Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC)\, Tecate Comuna\, Machaca (2019)\, and Bahidorá (2023)\, among others.\nHe has released several singles\, an EP\, and his debut album ‘Vida Ventura’\, published by Nacional Records. He is currently working on his second studio album\, set to be released in 2025.\nIn 2022\, Pehuenche was named a “Revelation Artist” by the LAMC Festival in New York. His song “Eso”\, \, a duet with Mel Muniz\, is featured in the new HBO Max original series “Like Water for Chocolate”.\nPehuenche has performed in countries including the United States\, Guatemala\, Portugal\, Spain\, the United Kingdom\, Denmark\, Netherlands\, Canada and Mexico.
