DESCRIPTION:ENGLISH BELOW \nDrop Inn har i år tildelt temaer til dagene der repræsenterer det bedste i Jazz.  \nEn overflødighedshornsektion der hylder og fremhæver instrumenter\, undergenrer og trends i Jazz-Danmark. Den første lørdag i vores festival program er under temaet: Urban Soul in Jazz. \n  \n5to8s er et groove-kollektiv bestående af nogle af de sejeste musikere\, sangere og rappere i København og Malmø-området. Bandet har haft succes i København de sidste 10+ år med residency på Ideal bar (Vega)\, Barbarella Cocktail bar og Café Mandela i hjertet af København. \nLyden er urban (hiphop\, soul/neo-soul reggae\, g-funk/funk og pop)\, der spiller en blanding af originalt materiale\, coverversioner eller bare at skabe musik på stedet. 5to8s er altid i funk-tilstand og tilføjer en unik smag til det\, de rører ved. \nMålet er at tage lytteren med på en musikalsk rejse gennem improvisation\, legende freestyle raps og soulfuld vokal. Tilføj lidt legende interaktion med publikum\, en afdæmpet stemning\, og du har den altomfattende atmosfære\, der gør en 5to8s live-session så unik. \n  \nKuku Agami (rap)\nJonas Rendbo (vocals)\nJonas Winge Leisner (vocals)\nMogens Palsbøll (bass)\nDaniel Fridell (keys)\nMinh Lé Shingara (drums)\nPhong Lé (Keys)\nHannibal Gustafsson (Guitar) \n  \nThis year Drop Inn has assigned themes to the days that represent the best in Jazz. \nA superselection that celebrates and highlights instruments\, sub-genres & trends in Jazz-Denmark. \nThe first Saturday in our festival program is under the theme: Urban Soul in Jazz. \nThe 5to8s is a groove collective consisting of some of the baddest musicians\, singers and rappers in the Copenhagen and Malmø area. SUMMARY:Bobby Bovell
DESCRIPTION:Torsdag den 11. juni kl. 21 gæster Bobby Bovell (UK) Drop Inn i København med en intim koncert i krydsfeltet mellem soul\, reggae og gospel. \n  \nBobby Bovell er født og opvokset i South London\, men bor i dag i København. Hans debutalbum The Emergent EcleCtic indbragte ham en MOBO-nominering\, og han fulgte senere op med singlen “Love\, Love”. Videoen til nummeret vandt tre Jump Music Video Awards samt prisen for bedste video fra Premier Radio og blev desuden nomineret til en Urban Music Award. \nBobby arbejder i øjeblikket på sit andet album\, hvor han videreudvikler sin egen blanding af progressiv soul\, reggae og gospel — samtidig med at han fører en tung musikalsk arv videre.  \nHan er søn af den legendariske producer\, musiker og dub-pioner Dennis Bovell\, der har mere end 250 udgivelser bag sig og blandt andet er kendt for sit arbejde med UK-roots-bandet Matumbi\, dub-poeten Linton Kwesi Johnson og post-punk/funk/dub-fusioner med The Slits og The Pop Group – han hjælper til i kulissen. \n  \nVed siden af egne udgivelser\, sessions og sideman-gigs har Bobby Bovell haft en usædvanlig karriere. Han har læst kommerciel musik og systematisk teologi og har arbejdet som ordineret præst\, som politibetjent i Metropolitan Police og som business coach. I dag bor han i København\, hvor han har samlet et stærkt internationalt band\, han har med på Drop Inn: \n  \nMads Reinhold – guitar  \nCasper Christiansen – Keys  \nRasmus Lund – trommer  \nAnders Rothmann – bass \nBobby Bovell — vokal \n  \nDet her bliver ikke en stor\, anonym koncert. Det bliver tæt på\, svedigt og intimt. \nKom tidligt. Kom tæt på. Det her er en af de aftener\, du gerne vil kunne sige\, at du oplevede\, før alle snart begynder at synge Bobbys sange i badet.

DESCRIPTION:  \nJoshua Shafir er en dansk sanger og sangskriver på 29 år\, som har skrevet sange siden han var helt lille. Han kommer fra en baggrund i rock og hiphop\, og blander nu genrerne ind i sine let-spiselige popsange. Ærlighed er kernen i Joshua’s musik\, hvor han direkte og relaterbart udforsker emner som ensomhed\, angst og kærlighed. Med sine humoristiske og umiddelbare tekster formår Joshua i sine sange\, at gøre komplekse følelser lette og genkendelige – alt sammen udspillet over catchy popmelodier. Med airplay på både P4 og P3\, artikler på Soundvenue\, Bands of Tomorrow og DR (Månedens Kanon) og med sit spritnye liveshow\,  Er Joshua klar til at indtage Danmark. \n  \n \n  \n  \nElkadmiri er et længselsfuldt\, råt og ærligt portræt af et liv gennem 20’erne i Københavns høje tempo\, natteliv og rodløshed. Sangene kredser om kærlighed\, hurtige relationer\, flugt fra følelser og jagten på noget ægte i en kultur\, der bevæger sig alt for hurtigt. Hendes musik bevæger sig i et hiphop- og R&B-inspireret pop-univers og trækker blandt andet på kontrasterne\, splittelsen og værdien i at have mixed dansk-marokkanske rødder i DK. I foråret 2026 debuterer Elkadmiri med sin første single. Til denne koncert kan hun opleves i et akustisk\, stripped down format\, hvor de nærværende tekster står i centrum for et filterløst møde mellem hende og publikum.
