DESCRIPTION:Drop Inn har i år tildelt temaer til dagene der repræsenterer det bedste i Jazz.\nEn overflødighedshornsektion der hylder og fremhæver instrumenter\, undergenrer og tidens trends i Jazz-Danmark.\nDen første søndag i vores festival program er under temaet: Ung Dansk Jazz. \nNikolaj Hess og de unge supertalenter Jayla Chee\, Karl Seyer-Hansen Ronja Andersson i spændende kvartet møde. \nNH vandt som helt ungt talent i starten af sit virke både Berlingske Guld Medalje for rytmisk musik og blev udtaget som best young European jazzpianist i RAI konkurrencen i Rom.\nHer præsenterer Hess Nikolaj Hess Young Gen Special med tre unge supertalenter\, Juilliard graduate bassisten Jayla Chee\, som allerede er særdeles aktiv og eftertragtet på NYC jazz scenen\, trommeslageren Karl Seyer-Hansen\, som har fået et sjældent scholarship til den prestigefylde Juilliard School of Music i New York\, og rising star Ronja Rose Andersson som udover at vinde ungjazz allerede høster stor anerkendelse som en af den nye generations vigtige og spændende stemmer på vokal og saxofon. \nNikolaj Hess er kendt for sit golden touch og lyriske\, åbne og internationalt orienterede tonesprog\, hvor jazz\, improvisation\, nordisk klang og filmiske stemninger smelter sammen. I denne særlige udgave af Nikolaj Hess Young Gen Special skaber han\, Jayla Chee\, Karl Seyer-Hansen og Ronja Andersson et kreativt rum\, hvor de fire musikeres energi og perspektiver er en integreret del af udtrykket. \nJazzen har en smuk lang tværgenerationel tradition\, og NH Young Gen Special ser frem til at dykke ned i det tidsophævende musikalske univers sammen med lytterne. \nMusikken bliver en blanding af nye og gamle klassikere og originale kompositioner\, fremadkiggende og med stor kærlighed til en dyb musikalsk tradition \nMed improvisation\, nærvær og intens musikalsk kommunikation skaber de tre kunstnere en koncert\, hvor erfaring\, åbenhed og nye perspektiver fra alle tre musikere smelter sammen i et poetisk og levende udtryk. \n  \nNikolaj Hess – Klaver\nJayla Chee – Bas\nKarl Seyer-Hansen – Trommer\nRonja Rose Andersson – Vokal & Sax \n  \nThis year Drop Inn has assigned themes to the days that represent the best in Jazz.\nA superselection that celebrates and highlights instruments\, subgenres\, the trends and state of the in Jazz-Denmark.\nThe first Sunday in our festival program is under the theme: Young Danish Jazz \nNikolaj Hess joins forces with the young exceptional talents Jayla Chee\, Karl Seyer-Hansen and Ronja Andersson in an exciting quartet encounter. \nAs a very young talent at the beginning of his career\, Nikolaj Hess won both the Berlingske Gold Medal for rhythmic music and was selected as Best Young European Jazz Pianist at the RAI competition in Rome. Here he presents Nikolaj Hess Young Gen Special with three outstanding young talents: Juilliard graduate bassist Jayla Chee\, already highly active and in demand on the New York City jazz scene; drummer Karl Seyer-Hansen\, who has received a rare scholarship to the prestigious Juilliard School of Music in New York; and rising star Ronja Rose Andersson\, who\, in addition to winning Ung Jazz\, is already gaining significant recognition as one of the new generation’s important and exciting voices on vocals and saxophone. \nNikolaj Hess is known for his golden touch and his lyrical\, open\, internationally oriented musical language\, where jazz\, improvisation\, Nordic soundscapes and cinematic moods merge. In this special edition of Nikolaj Hess Young Gen Special\, he\, Jayla Chee\, Karl Seyer-Hansen and Ronja Andersson create a creative space in which the energy and perspectives of all four musicians become an integral part of the expression. \nJazz has a beautiful and long cross-generational tradition\, and NH Young Gen Special looks forward to diving into this timeless musical universe together with the listeners. \nThe music will be a mixture of new and old classics alongside original compositions — forward-looking\, yet with deep love for a rich musical tradition. \nThrough improvisation\, presence and intense musical communication\, the four artists create a concert in which experience\, openness and new perspectives from all four musicians merge into a poetic and vibrant expression.

KUN 80 BILLETTER I SALG! \nDrop Inn har i år tildelt temaer til dagene der repræsenterer det bedste i Jazz.\nEn overflødighedshornsektion der hylder og fremhæver instrumenter\, undergenrer og tidens trends i Jazz-Danmark.\nDenne mandag i vores festival program er under temaet: Ung Dansk Jazz. \nEsben Bay Big Band er et nyt internationalt/nordisk big band med base I Danmark\, der tæller medlemmer fra Polen\, Litauen\, Sverige og Danmark\, veletablerede jazzprofiler såvel som fremadstormende up-and-coming navne på den danske og internationale musikscene\, alle under ledelse af Esben Bay\, som er en visionær ung\, dansk saxofonist. \nBandet spiller hans originale kompositioner\, med inspiration fra folk som Bob Mintzer\, Gil Evans\, Jim McNeely og Maria Schneider\, og er også præget af Thad Jones’ og Count Basies swingende big-band-lyd. Vigtigst af alt for musikken er sangbare og fængende melodier\, og den moderne og nordiske lyd blandes med funky grooves. \nI Juli 2025 udgav han med sit big band debutalbummet “NEW LIMITS” digitalt og på vinyl. Most important of all for the music are singable and catchy melodies\, and the modern and Nordic sound is mixed with funky grooves. \nIn July 2025\, he and his big band released their debut album “NEW LIMITS” digitally and on vinyl. The band played a sold-out release concert at Kildevæld Kulturcenter during CPH Jazz 2025\, and most recently in February they played to a packed house at KU.BE. \nAt the concert\, you can experience Esben Bay Big Band playing a lot of songs from “NEW LIMITS”\, as well as newer compositions.

Denne mandag er under temaet: UNG DANSK JAZZ \nDet groover\, det glimter\, og du er inviteret med til fest\, når Ea Cornelia Orchestra afslutter aftenen “Ung Dansk Jazz” på Drop Inn med et band bestående af nogle af Skandinaviens mest lovende jazztalenter. \nEa Cornelia har\, trods sine blot 22 år\, allerede markeret sig som en spirende sangerinde og musiker på den danske pop- og jazzscene. This Monday in our festival program is under the theme: Young Danish jazz. \nIt grooves\, it sparkles\, and you are invited to join the party when Ea Cornelia Orchestra closes the evening “Young Danish Jazz” at Drop Inn with a band consisting of some of Scandinavia’s most promising jazz talents. \nDespite being just 22 years old\, Ea Cornelia has already made her mark as a budding singer and musician on the Danish pop and jazz scene. With her warm\, narrative and honest vocals\, she manages to create presence and atmosphere\, and together with her Danish-Swedish orchestra\, she lifts her original music to new heights in a vibrant and danceable universe\, where Danish-language disco\, pop and Nordic jazz merge. \nDuring 2025\, Ea Cornelia and her orchestra have played concerts at both Danish and Swedish jazz festivals and stages\, where the combined band has created a present and danceable universe around Ea’s Danish-language\, jazz-pop songs.

Når de officielle koncerter er afviklet lukker vi op for vores jam sessions \nHver aften under festivalen har vi selvfølgelig jam sessions hver aften kl 23.\nMed de to kaptajner: Thomas Fonnesbæk & Jakob Christoffersen har vi Københavns absolut fedeste jam under festivalen. Der er lagt op til leg og spil når de to superstjerner jammer med resten af festivalens musikere og publikum. \n  \nThis year\, Drop Inn has assigned themes to the days that represent the best in Jazz.\nA super selction that celebrates and highlights instruments\, subgenres and current trends in Jazz-Denmark. When the official concerts are over\, we open up for our jam sessions \nEvery evening during the festival we of course have jam sessions every evening at 11 pm.\nWith the two captains: Thomas Fonnesbæk & Jakob Christoffersen\, we have Copenhagen’s absolute coolest jam during the festival. The players and audience are in for a musical treat when the two superstars jam with the rest of the festival’s musicians.
