DESCRIPTION:ENGLISH BELOW \nDrop Inn har i år tildelt temaer til dagene der repræsenterer det bedste i Jazz.  \nEn overflødighedshornsektion der hylder og fremhæver instrumenter\, undergenrer og trends i Jazz-Danmark. Den første lørdag i vores festival program er under temaet: Urban Soul in Jazz. \n  \n5to8s er et groove-kollektiv bestående af nogle af de sejeste musikere\, sangere og rappere i København og Malmø-området. Bandet har haft succes i København de sidste 10+ år med residency på Ideal bar (Vega)\, Barbarella Cocktail bar og Café Mandela i hjertet af København. \nLyden er urban (hiphop\, soul/neo-soul reggae\, g-funk/funk og pop)\, der spiller en blanding af originalt materiale\, coverversioner eller bare at skabe musik på stedet. 5to8s er altid i funk-tilstand og tilføjer en unik smag til det\, de rører ved. \nMålet er at tage lytteren med på en musikalsk rejse gennem improvisation\, legende freestyle raps og soulfuld vokal. Tilføj lidt legende interaktion med publikum\, en afdæmpet stemning\, og du har den altomfattende atmosfære\, der gør en 5to8s live-session så unik. \n  \nKuku Agami (rap)\nJonas Rendbo (vocals)\nJonas Winge Leisner (vocals)\nMogens Palsbøll (bass)\nDaniel Fridell (keys)\nMinh Lé Shingara (drums)\nPhong Lé (Keys)\nHannibal Gustafsson (Guitar) \n  \nThis year Drop Inn has assigned themes to the days that represent the best in Jazz. \nA superselection that celebrates and highlights instruments\, sub-genres & trends in Jazz-Denmark. \nThe first Saturday in our festival program is under the theme: Urban Soul in Jazz. \nThe 5to8s is a groove collective consisting of some of the baddest musicians\, singers and rappers in the Copenhagen and Malmø area. The band has been going strong in Copenhagen for the last 10+ years with residencies at Ideal bar (Vega)\, Barbarella Cocktail bar\, and Café Mandela in the heart of Copenhagen. \nThe sound is Urban (Hiphop\, Soul/Neo-soul Reggae\, G-funk/Funk and Pop) playing a mix of original material\, covers or just creating on the spot. The 5to8s are always in funk mode adding a unique flavour to whatever they touch. \nThe goal is too take the listener on a musical voyage\, through improvisation\, playful freestyle raps and soulful vocals. Add a bit of playful interaction with the crowd\, a low-key vibe\, and you have that all encompassing atmosphere that makes a 5to8s live session so unique.

Venyas musik har tekster og melodier i fokus og handler om at vokse som menneske. Venya afspejler seks forskellige unge musikeres identitet\, hvilket er med til at undersøge grænserne mellem genrerne med et lydbillede\, der stadig føles tilgængeligt. Venya giver publikum en følelse af fællesskab og oprigtighed\, der inviterer publikum ind i deres verden.\nVenyas energi\, intimitet og catchy melodier er en frisk pust på den danske såvel som den nordiske jazzscene. \nAlice Wilgotsson\, Sang (SE)\nLea Meldal Backhausen\, Trompet (DK)\nEmmy Nordquist\, Guitar (SE)\nAnton Bergman\, Piano (SE)\nAugust Kjær Agergaard\, Bas (DK)\nOsvald Metcalf-Rinaldo\, Trommer (DK) \n  \n  \nThis year Drop Inn has assigned themes to the days that represent the best in Jazz. \nA superselection that celebrates and highlights instruments\, sub-genres & trends in Jazz-Denmark. The first Saturday in our festival program is under the theme: Urban Soul in Jazz. \nVenya is a band whose music moves freely between the genres of neo soul\, jazz and pop\, where the improvisational elements of jazz merge with the groove and energy of pop. The band’s unique sound is based on a mix of acoustic and electronic elements with lyrics and melodies in focus. The members come from both Sweden and Denmark. Venya’s music reflects the identity of six different young musicians. These identities helps to challenge the boundaries between genres with a soundscape that still feels accessible. Venya gives the audience a sense of community and authenticity that invites the audience into their musical world. Venya’s energy\, intimacy and catchy melodies are a breath of fresh air on the Danish as well as the Nordic jazz scene.
