DESCRIPTION:Drop Inn har i år tildelt temaer til dagene der repræsenterer det bedste i Jazz.\nEn overflødighedshornsektion der hylder og fremhæver instrumenter\, undergenrer og trends i Jazz-Danmark.\nDen første fredag i vores festival program er under temaet: Funky Jazz. \nSurface Tension forener deres dybe kærlighed til neo-soul\, funk og moderne jazz i et nyt og friskt bud på nutidens jazz- og groove-lyd.\nBandmedlemmerne har længe været aktive på musikscenen som sidemen for kunstnere som Sira Jovina\, Benal\, Mumle\, Freja Kirk\, Filuka og mange flere. Nu er de klar med deres egen unikke blanding af genrer\, der helt sikkert vil få dig til at bevæge dig. \nDe vil spille musik fra deres debutalbum\, der udkommer i efteråret 2026. \nBertram Kvist – Saxophone\nChristoffer O’Donoghue – Trumpet\nAugust Campeotto – guitar\nNoah Mondrup – keys\nMikkel Bruno – bass\nMads Tornemark – drums \nENGLISH \nThis year Drop Inn has assigned themes to the days that represent the best in Jazz.\nA superselection that celebrates and highlights instruments\, sub-genres & the trends in Jazz-Denmark.\nThe first Friday in our festival program is under the theme: Funky Jazz. \nSurface Tension merges their deep love for neo-soul\, funk and contemporary jazz for a new and fresh take on todays jazz- and groove-sounds.\nThe band members have long been active on the music scene as sidemen for acts such as Sira Jovina\, Benal\, Mumle\, Freja Kirk\, Filuka and many more. Now they’re ready with their own unique blend of genres\, that will definitely get you movin’ \nThey’ll be playing music from their debut-album which is set to be released in the fall of 2026

DESCRIPTION:ENGLISH BELOW \nDrop Inn har i år tildelt temaer til dagene der repræsenterer det bedste i Jazz.\nEn overflødighedshornsektion der hylder og fremhæver instrumenter\, undergenrer og trends i Jazz-Danmark.\nDen første fredag i vores festival program er under temaet: Funky Jazz. \nDino/Eger/Tonnam\nDen danske saxofonist Jakob Dinesen\, den norsk/svenske trommeslager Anton Eger og det fantastiske Keyboard Prodigy Warit Tonnam fra Thailand har indspillet et album efter en række jobs i Bangkok og København. \nRepertoiret er unikt og eventyrlystent jazz fusion komponeret og udviklet af gruppemedlemmerne.\nDino/Eger/Tonnam ser frem til at spille mere efter mange succesfulde optrædener på Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2025 og en række succesfulde koncerter i Bangkok 2026. \nAnton Eger\, halvdelen af ​​den anerkendte danske jazz-fusion-duo RKDIA\, er et kraftværk på den europæiske jazzscene\, kendt for sin innovative tilgang og frygtløse udforskning af nye lyde. Al Agami\nEn jazzet blanding af 70’er funk og soul kombineret med en koncertmester\, der tilføjer bandet den old school hiphop-følelse.\nFunkwizz blev skabt allerede i 1998. Funkwizz har spillet på mange spillesteder i Danmark gennem årene. Stengade 30\, Den Grå Hal\, Lades Kælder\, KB18\, Cph Jazzfestival for blot at nævne et par stykker.\nDen nuværende konstellation består af 5 musikere\, der skriver musikken\, med skiftende koncertmestere og vokal\, hvilket gør ingen koncert ens. Al Agami\nA jazzy mix of 70’s funk and soul combined with an MC\, which adds to the band that old school hiphop feel.\nFunkwizz was created as early as 1998. Funkwizz has played a lot of venues in Denmark over the years. Stengade 30\, Den Grå Hal\, Lades Kælder\, KB18\, Cph Jazzfestival to mention a few. \nThe current constellation consists of 5 musicians\, writing the music\, with changing MC’s and vocals\, making no concert the same. Over the years Funkwizz has played with Al Agami\, Kuku Agami\, M.C. Einar\, Per Vers\, Niels HP\, Jonas Winge Leisner\, Clara Sofie and lots more. The Funkwizz experience is for the party people!

Når de officielle koncerter er afviklet lukker vi op for vores jam sessions \nHver aften under festivalen har vi selvfølgelig jam sessions hver aften kl 23.\nMed de to kaptajner: Thomas Fonnesbæk & Jakob Christoffersen har vi Københavns absolut fedeste jam under festivalen. Der er lagt op til leg og spil når de to superstjerner jammer med resten af festivalens musikere og publikum. \n  \nThis year\, Drop Inn has assigned themes to the days that represent the best in Jazz.\nA super selction that celebrates and highlights instruments\, subgenres and current trends in Jazz-Denmark. When the official concerts are over\, we open up for our jam sessions \nEvery evening during the festival we of course have jam sessions every evening at 11 pm.\nWith the two captains: Thomas Fonnesbæk & Jakob Christoffersen\, we have Copenhagen’s absolute coolest jam during the festival. The players and audience are in for a musical treat when the two superstars jam with the rest of the festival’s musicians.
