Med inspiration fra traditionel jazz fremfører vi sangene i egne fortolkninger med nye friske arrangementer\, hvor du kommer til at mærke bandets glæde og kærlighed til musikken mellem hinanden. Der udloves swing\, spilleglæde og festlig stemning når Sound of Duke spiller! De seks unge medlemmer mødtes i 2022 på Skurups Folkhögskola i Skåne. Som vinder af Blue House ungdoms jazzfestival og SM bedste jazzgruppe 2023\, har bandet og den karismatiske sanger Elvira Lundstedt på et år etableret sig på kendte scener rundt om i Sverige og besøgt jazzscener og klubber såsom Bangen jazz & blues festival\, Ystad jazz festival\, Umeå\, og CPH jazz festival samt Utopia Jazz (Gbg) og Stampen (Sthlm).  \nI 2024 har bandet med et debutalbum release og nye arrangementer gjort klar til den helt store sommerturné\, der fejrer Duke Ellingtons 125-års jubilæum.  \n  \n“Den svenske ung grønne men allerede prisvindende Sound of Duke-hyldest sekstet\, med vokalist\, guitar- og pianist\, rytmegruppe og danertalentet Teis Ortved (ts) spillede i det lummer-restaurerede Drop Inn torsdag den 30.\, hvor deres aldersgruppe samt jeg og andre ældre var forbi og støtte foretagendet\, der efter en del rødmen fik spillet sig ind i varmen\, så alt held og håb til det.” \nT.S.
